Lokomotiv Moscow reassured fans that their players and staff arrived safely back home following media reports that the train they were travelling in was hit by a drone attack.
According to local media, a drone damaged a carriage in the train that was carrying the Lokomotiv team back to Moscow after their 2-0 league defeat at Rostov on Sunday.
Lokomotiv did not comment on the incident but said in a brief club statement: "Following media reports, FC Lokomotiv announces that the team has returned to its training base in full force and has begun preparations for the Russian Cup and Russian Championship matches. All club departments responded promptly, efficiently, and professionally."
Mexico international César Montes was part of the Lokomotiv delegation.
Montes, who joined the Russian outfit in 2024, was on the bench against Rostov but did not feature in the game.
Lokomotiv thanked the Russian Premier League and the management of FC Fakel for their support.
