There's a lot on the line in Wednesday night's highly anticipated matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the host Boston Celtics (8 p.m. ET on ESPN/WatchESPN).
Not only are the two teams tied atop the Eastern Conference standings, their fourth and final matchup of the regular season could also be a foreshadowing of a future conference finals series later this spring.
The Celtics and Cavs are trending in very different directions late in the season. While Boston has won eight of its past 10 games, LeBron James & Co. are 5-5 in their past 10. However, according to ESPN's BPI, Cleveland still has a slight edge (54 percent) over the Celtics (46 percent) in the race for the No. 1 seed.

While the Cavs hold a 2-1 regular season edge over their conference foes, the Celtics came away with a 103-99 victory in their last meeting on March 1. Isaiah Thomas led all scorers with 31 points.
