News: 7 days agoThe Sparks announced Tuesday that Plum has been diagnosed with an ankle sprain she sustained during Tuesday's practice, and she will be re-evaluated in one week.

Spin: Plum had to be helped off the court during Tuesday's session, and subsequent testing confirmed a sprain that will sideline her for at least the next week. It's a massive blow for the Sparks, as the 31-year-old guard has been playing at an MVP-caliber level to start the 2026 campaign, averaging a career-best 26.8 points through the first six games. With Plum out for at least the next few contests and Nneka Ogwumike (hand) also banged up, Los Angeles will need Dearica Hamby, Ariel Atkins and Erica Wheeler to take on significantly larger roles in the offense.
