News: 5 days agoPlum and the Sparks agreed to terms on a one-year, $999,999 contract Sunday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Spin: Per Charania, Plum opted to sign for less than the $1.4 million supermax in order to give the Sparks more cap flexibility. Plum joined Los Angeles for the 2025 season after spending her six prior years with Las Vegas. She was selected to the All-Star game for a fourth consecutive season, and across 43 regular-season games she averaged 19.5 points, 5.7 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 2.3 threes and 1.2 steals over 35.1 minutes per game. Plum will lead a Sparks backcourt that also consists of Rae Burrell, Erica Wheeler and Julie Vanloo.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: After playing the first seven seasons of her career with one organization, Plum was traded to the Sparks in January 2025. The 31-year-old guard earned her fourth consecutive All-Star selection and appeared in 43 regular-season games in 2025, averaging 19.5 points along with career highs in assists (5.7), rebounds (3.1) and steals (1.2) in 35.1 minutes per contest. She shot a career-worst 35.5 percent from beyond the arc, down from her career average of 38.0 percent. Still, Plum posted a career-high 5.7 assists per game and was one of three players to finish inside the top-10 in points and assists. As an unrestricted free agent, the star guard's destination will be a major storyline ahead of the 2026 campaign, but she's shown interest in returning to Los Angeles. Regardless of where she plays, Plum should be considered in the first round of fantasy drafts.
