Fantasy Women's Basketball
News: 3 days agoStewart isn't with the Liberty to begin training camp due to overseas commitments, Madeline Kenney of the New York Post reports.
Spin: Stewart is slated to miss Saturday's preseason opener against the Fever due to her overseas commitments, but she's expected to join the Liberty next week following the EuroLeague Women's Final Six. Stewart's regular-season availability isn't expected to be impacted by her brief absence. She made 31 regular-season starts for New York last year and averaged 18.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks in 30.6 minutes per game.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: A right knee bone bruise held Stewart to just 31 appearances in 2025, but that didn't stop her from churning out yet another prolific campaign. During the regular season, the All-Star forward averaged 18.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks in 30.6 minutes per game. Although she averaged the fewest boards of her career, Stewart has now posted at least 18 points, six rebounds, three dimes, one steal and one block in all but one of her nine seasons. Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu are both unrestricted free agents this offseason, but both superstars have expressed a desire to remain in New York. Playing alongside Ionescu has cut into her usage a bit, but Stewart is showing no real signs of slowing down ahead of her age-32 campaign.
