When you are the son of Toronto Maple Leafs legend Tie Domi, your first game as an NHL player at Air Canada Centre is a big deal.
Well, Max Domi's teammates wanted to make sure the rookie didn't get a big head.
Domi skated out onto the ice before the Arizona Coyotes were to face the Leafs on Monday night, seemingly leading his teammates for warm-ups. The only problem ... no one followed him.
Domi's teammates waited in the tunnel for 33 seconds while the 20-year-old skated alone.
He isn't the first one to have this happen in that building. Steven Stamkos recalled in September that the Tampa Bay Lightning did the same thing to him in his first game in his hometown. Maybe the Coyotes were inspired by the idea.
