Spin: Wright was a mid-week addition to the Dolphins' injury report, after a sore foot limited his participation in practices Thursday and Friday. He took a questionable tag into the weekend but looks to be healthy enough to contribute out of the Miami backfield. In the wake of De'Von Achane's (knee) season-ending ACL tear, Ollie Gordon led the Dolphins with 100 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries to go with two catches for zero yards in a Week 4 loss to the Vikings. After that strong effort, Gordon is the favorite to pace the Miami backfield in snaps and touches once again in Week 5, but it's possible Wright cuts into his workload a bit more if he isn't slowed by the foot issue.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Wright will once again compete with second-year Ollie Gordon II for backup reps behind feature back De'Von Achane. Wright has barely cleared 70 touches during each of his first two NFL seasons, but he has shined at times, including a 24-107-1 rushing line in Week 14 last season. The 2024 fourth-round pick has been effective as a rusher, but hasn't been involved in the passing game (15 targets in 25 games). The 23-year-old would be worth adding only in the event of an Achane injury and even then, it's possible he would split (or be on the short end of a committee) with Gordon in a rebuilding offense that may not score very often.
