Brown downs Bryant 41-14
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Patrick Donnelly passed for 339 yards and four touchdowns to easily lead Brown past Bryant 41-14 on Saturday.
Brown (3-1) rolled up 505 yards in total offense and sacked Bryant's Mike Westerhaus six times as the Bears shut out the Bulldogs after the first quarter.
Bryant (3-3) took a 14-7 first quarter lead on Ryan Black's 15-yard TD run midway through the frame. But it was all Brown after that as the Bears scored 20 unanswered points for a 34-14 halftime lead. Donnelly connected twice in the half with Jordan Evans for touchdowns of 34 and 14 yards. He also hit Tellef Lundevall for a 55-yard touchdown. Evans and Lundevall both finished with over 100 yards receiving.
Brown extended its lead in the third quarter, as Donnelly found Reiley Higgins on a 22-yard strike to cap the scoring.
Black paced Bryant with 137 yards rushing on 24 carries.
