The former content director of Yea Alabama, the name, image and likeness initiative for Alabama athletics, has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution.
Aaron Suttles, 49, was among 15 men arrested in July as part of a human trafficking operation in Shelby County, Alabama. As part of Suttles' plea agreement, he received a sentence of 365 days in jail, but the sentence was suspended for two years and he received credit for time served, according to court records.
Suttles originally was arrested July 23 and released on bond. He was arrested two days later for DUI, which resulted in his bond being revoked. Suttles returned to the jail Aug. 20 and was there until being released Wednesday.
Yea Alabama told AL.com that Suttles is no longer an employee, and he is not listed in Yea Alabama's staff directory. Suttles covered Alabama athletics for The Tuscaloosa News and The Athletic before joining Yea Alabama.
