Buffalo runs wild over Massachusetts 41-21
AMHERST, Mass. -- Joe Licata threw four touchdown passes and Buffalo ran wild over Massachusetts 41-21 on Friday.
Licata was 20 of 27 for 255 yards and threw touchdown passes to three different receivers as Buffalo (5-6, 3-4 Mid-American Conference) amassed 548 total yards against Massachusetts (3-9, 3-5). Anthone Taylor ran for 237 yards on 36 carries with touchdowns of 3 and 76 yards.
Buffalo led 13-0 at half after two second-quarter scoring strikes from Licata. He found Devon Hughes from 28 yards out after a 17-play, 99 yard drive. Then after forcing a punt, the Bulls went 68 yards on six plays and Licata hooked up with Jacob Martinez for a 31-yard touchdown pass.
Taylor's touchdown carry in the third quarter made it 34-7 and he romped from 76 yards with 3:19 left.
Marken Michael had a 50-yard touchdown run for the Minutemen. Shadrach Abrokwah had 100 yards rushing on 15 carries.
