Lauletta lifts Richmond to 48-17 win over Maine
RICHMOND, Va. -- Kyle Lauletta threw four touchdown passes and a career-high 311 yards, and ran for another score to lead Richmond to a 48-17 victory over Maine on Saturday.
Brian Brown caught seven passes for 177 yards with two touchdowns. Reggie Diggs added two touchdowns catches and finished with 96 yards receiving for the Spiders (3-1, 1-0 Colonial Athletic Association).
Lauletta threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Diggs to cap a four-play, 75-yard drive on the opening series. Lauletta then connected with Brown on a 75-yard scoring strike a little more than a minute later to make it 14-0.
Dan Collins completed a 3-yard touchdown pass to Micah Wright to pull Maine to 14-7, but it was as close as the Blackbears (1-3, 1-1) would get.
Lauletta added a 1-yard touchdown run, and Seth Fisher had a 1-yard scoring plunge in the third quarter.
