Gahafer has 2 TD throws, Morehead State tops Davidson 31-10
DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Austin Gahafer threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns and Morehead State defeated Davidson 31-10 on Saturday.
Gahafer finished his career with 11,918 yards passing and surpassed 12,000 yards in total offense.
He opened the scoring with a 9-yard strike to Jake Raymond and his 55-yard connection with Darius Pritchett gave the Eagles (4-7, 3-5 Pioneer) a 31-3 lead in the third quarter.
Davidson (2-9, 0-8) ended up winless in conference play after ending a 24-game PFL losing streak in the regular-season finale last season.
Morehead State held the Wildcats to 276 yards while piling up 438. Davidson got a 37-yard touchdown run from Stockton McGuire, who finished with 116 yards rushing and 78 passing, in the final minute of the third quarter.
Trevor Jones had 76 yards and a 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter for the Eagles, who also had nine different players catch passes in Gahafer's final game.
