With that the rain has got heavier and the players have made their way off with the Umpires not far behind them. It's going to be one of those days I'm afraid. Match State: Delay - Rain 12:30pm The rain has been falling pretty consistently over the last hour, and the groundstaff have just put more covers out in the middle. The Umpires are out inspecting the outfield,we have started losing overs... 12:50pm Bad news I'm afraid. The rain just keeps coming down and the Umpires have spoken to both Captain's. Even if the rain stopped now, there is no chance of the ground drying out before the cut off. The Captains have shook hands and the games been called off. What a shame. Two points for each team and let's hope that the rain relents for the second game this afternoon. Until then, this is Justin saying goodbye from a very wet Bready.
