Ravichandran Ashwin, Dublin Guardians Captain: I think we had it under control, and that's pretty much, I would say, the first half of the season, where we haven't known how to close games out, and a couple of wickets at the wrong time really cost us. We had it under control, and the chase was pretty much getting it down, but then we're losing wickets in those phases, about a couple or three of them at that point in time. There were instances there where we thought we could have been a little more clinical, that we were under pressure and should have managed it better today. But that's it, that's the score that we needed to get down, and we should be a little disappointed for not getting the score. On the positive side, the young players, especially, I think, have had a great couple of games. (Tector) has been working his way back from injury. That's not easy to do, about six months, probably a year. So that's a big thing for us. All these guys have done pretty well, and the locals have really held their own. I think it's about coming together as a unit, and we do have a lot of power on the season, and so on. We're getting better, slow wins, but we need to close our margins
Guardians just have not been able to stitch together a complete performance and find the winning formula. Once again, they had the game in control at the halfway mark when they were on track to chase the total but nobody from the top order capitalised on their starts. With the remarkable bowling options in the form of Boult, Curran, McMullen and Jarvis, it became so tough to keep up with the asking rate. Tector's wicket was a major turning point, as he could have definitely taken it much closer because Edinburgh were about 20 runs short of a competitive total. They left some runs out there but their potent bowling attack made up for it. Guardians are out of the tournament while Edinburgh tighten their grip on the top spot
