STARTING PITCHERS FOR MONDAY

Pitchers are ranked in order of their Forecaster/Daily Notes projected fantasy points (FPTS), using ESPN's standard scoring system (2 points per win, minus-2 per loss, 3 per inning, 1 per K, minus-1 apiece per hit or walk allowed, minus-2 per earned run allowed).

T: The pitcher's handedness. OPP: Opposing team. RST%: The pitcher's roster percentage in ESPN leagues. W%: The individual starting pitcher's win probability using ESPN projections. IP: Projected innings pitched. H+BB: Projected hits plus walks allowed. ER: Projected earned runs allowed. K: Projected strikeouts.

If a team is planning on using an "opener" to start their game, but will rely on a "bulk pitcher" to follow him on the mound after 1-2 innings, the bulk pitcher is listed and indicated with an asterisk.

Pitchers to stream on Monday

Ian Seymour continues to post a strong second half, though he issued six homers over his last three outings. The Tampa Bay Rays open the fantasy week with a home start against the New York Mets. There is a chance that Seymour serves as a bulk reliever, so make sure you understand how your league handles the scenario in formats with separate designations for starting and relief pitchers.
The Houston Astros open a home series against the Chicago White Sox. Peter Lambert will take the hill in the battle of first-place clubs. After struggling in his prior effort, Lambert fell one out shy of a quality start in his last outing, limiting the New York Yankees to three runs in 5 2/3 innings. Away from home, the White Sox sport a below-average lineup with an above-average strikeout rate.
After posting a quality start in his last effort, Aaron Nola has a 2.60 ERA and 1.24 WHIP over his previous six outings, featuring 41 strikeouts over 34 2/3 innings. The Philadelphia Phillies open a series in the desert with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Nola faces a lineup with the second-lowest wOBA with a righty on the hill.
Gage Jump's home ERA is 5.82 compared to 3.49 on the road. However, his peripherals are similar, with a slightly higher walk rate in Sacramento. Control is an issue, but a 25.2% strikeout rate warrants attention. The Athletics open a series in Arlington against the Texas Rangers. Jump enjoys a steep park upgrade, as well as a matchup against a lineup with the 10th-highest strikeout rate facing left-handers.

Hitters to stream on Monday

The Colorado Rockies are home for six games this week, so Coors Field will be a popular destination for picking up hitters. The Baltimore Orioles open a series against the Rockies and Tanner Gordon. The right-hander has a solid 2.68 ERA on the road, but at home he sports a 7.89 mark. Homers have been the chief culprit, with Gordon yielding 14 in only 43 1/3 home innings. Samuel Basallo, Coby Mayo and Dylan Beavers have the power to take advantage.
