Mykhailo Mudryk is set to be sidelined until October at the earliest after suffering an ankle injury in training, sources have told ESPN.
The 25-year-old suffered the setback earlier this week and is now wearing a protective boot on his left leg.
Mudryk secured a surprise a deadline day loan move from Chelsea to Tottenham and made his Spurs debut in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest when introduced as a 74th-minute substitute.
That cameo was his first appearance since November 2024 following a dispute over a positive test for banned substance meldonium. Mudryk was initially handed a four-year suspension but the Ukraine international was cleared to play in July after his case was resolved with the Football Association.
Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi worked with Mudryk at Shakhtar Donetsk and is hopeful of reviving the winger's career after a torrid time at Stamford Bridge.

Sources have told ESPN that the loan move which took Mudryk to Tottenham contains an option to make the move permanent for £75 million ($101.5m). Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar in January 2023 for a fee which could reach £88.5m ($119.8m.)
