Will the Minnesota Timberwolves snap the NBA's longest playoff drought?
The last time the Timberwolves reached the playoffs, LeBron James was named Rookie of the Year, George W. Bush was hoping to secure re-election, and current Minnesota stars Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns were 9 and 8 years old, respectively.
Whether it was trading Kevin Garnett for cents on the dollar or picking Jonny Flynn and Ricky Rubio ahead of Stephen Curry, the Timberwolves have certainly been complicit in their own stint in the wilderness. But they've also been the unluckiest team in the NBA over the 13 seasons they've spent in the lottery. After this summer's roster makeover, is this the year Minnesota's luck turns for the better?
