Spin: Tracy suffered a neck stinger in last Friday's preseason finale and avoided a major injury. Despite a rocky preseason and training camp under new coach John Harbaugh and OC Matt Nagy, Tracy still managed to make the Giants' 53-man roster. However, Najee Harris and Devin Singletary are also in the mix behind Cam Skattebo, leaving Tracy's actual role uncertain.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Tracy is set to compete with Devin Singletary for opportunities in a Giants backfield led by second-year back Cam Skattebo. Tracy has produced 200-plus touches and 1,000-plus yards in each of his first two NFL seasons, but that doesn't tell the full story. Tracy got there as a fifth-round rookie in 2024 by impressing and taking New York's starting gig by Week 5. Last season, he quickly lost lead-back duties to Skattebo, but played a much larger role once Skattebo went down for the season with an injury (9.0 touches per game during Weeks 1-9, but 18.6 per game from Weeks 10-18). Tracy has no standalone fantasy value, but he's effective as a rusher and receiver. That makes the 26-year-old a solid backup who would be worth adding if Skattebo misses additional time.
