The Oakland Raiders and free-agent running back Roy Helu have agreed to a two-year deal worth just over $4 million, a league source told ESPN's Adam Caplan.
Helu, 26, spent his first four seasons in Washington, mostly as a backup to Alfred Morris. Helu, a fourth-round pick out of Nebraska in 2011, also served as a third-down back.
His best season running the ball occurred as a rookie in 2011 when he started five games. Helu carried the ball 151 times for 640 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught 49 passes for 379 yards and another touchdown.
He missed 15 games in 2012 because of turf toe. This past season, Helu carried the ball 40 times for 216 yards and a touchdown. He added 42 receptions for 477 yards and two scores.
In four years with Washington, he rushed 255 times for 1,132 yards and seven touchdowns. He caught 129 passes for 1,152 yards and three touchdowns.
