Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams lasted all of three plays before his sprained left ankle gave out again.
Adams left Monday night's 38-28 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs after the first series with the same injury he suffered the previous week against the Seattle Seahawks. He was able to return for the second half against the Seahawks.
He could not against the Chiefs. The Packers ruled him out at halftime.
Tight end Andrew Quarless, who suffered a left knee injury in the second quarter, also was ruled out at the half.
Defensive end Datone Jones left the game in the fourth quarter, with the Packers saying he was being evaluated for a possible concussion.
Adams was limited in practice all last week, but his status was upgraded from questionable to probable on the eve of the game. Adams was the target of passes on the game's first and third plays. He appeared to reinjure his ankle on the third-down play, a deep incompletion.
In Adams' place, the Packers turned to rookie Ty Montgomery, who caught his first career touchdown pass, an 8-yarder, for the game's first score.
