JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars will place defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks on injured reserve with a torn right triceps.
Marks suffered the injury during the Jaguars' 22-20 victory over Baltimore last Sunday and will miss the final seven games of the season.
Surgery was performed Wednesday.
It's a disappointing ending to Marks' season because he missed the first games of the year while coming back from a torn right ACL, which he suffered in the 2014 season finale. Marks had five tackles and three pass breakups in the four games in which he played.
Marks was the Jaguars' best defensive lineman -- and arguably their best defensive player -- the past two seasons. He led the Jaguars in 2014 with 8.5 sacks, 15 tackles for loss and 16 quarterback hurries to go along with 44 tackles and a fumble recovery, stats that got him named an alternate to the Pro Bowl.
In his three seasons in Jacksonville Marks has 82 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 24 QB hurries, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and 12 pass breakups.
