INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts owner Jim Irsay tweeted that starting left guard Jack Mewhort will be out 2-4 weeks after suffering a knee injury in Saturday's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Irsay said Mewhort, who has started all 30 games that he has appeared in through his first two seasons, will not need surgery.
That news is positive for the Colts because there was legitimate concern inside the organization that Mewhort may have torn his ACL.
Mewhort 2-4 weeks/No Surgery(Initial test results); plenty of work to do for this new Coaching Staff and new infusion of Player additions!

Third-year player Jonotthan Harrison is a candidate to start at guard until Mewhort returns.
"I'm ready if I'm called upon," Harrison said Saturday. "I've started at center and I've gotten reps at guard in the game. The coaches prepare us to play multiple positions."
