Spin: Vilardi started the preseason off strong, as he tallied the opening goal of the game before he provided the primary helper on Dylan DeMelo's score in the third period. The 27-year-old Vilardi will look to build upon an impressive 2025-26 campaign, where he compiled 30 goals, 69 points, 150 shots on net and 35 blocked shots across 82 regular-season games. He's a lock to appear in Winnipeg's top six with plenty of power-play time to open the upcoming campaign.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Vilardi was a major injury risk early in his NHL career, but that seems to have quieted down in recent years. He played in all 82 games last season for the first time, finishing with career-best marks in goals (30), assists (39), points (69), and shots on goal (150). Vilardi's 20 percent shooting percentage would typically be concerning, but that number is right in line with the prior few years. Toss in the fact Vilardi has racked up at least 24 power-play points in back-to-back seasons and you have a solid mid-round offensive fantasy asset on your hands.
