The 2026 Premier Lacrosse League playoffs are down to the final four teams!
Zions Bank Stadium in Salt Lake City is the setting, with the Denver Outlaws and Utah Archers squaring off before the Boston Cannons take on the Philadelphia Waterdogs
The winners will move on to the 2026 championship game on Sept. 20 at Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey.

W1 Utah Archers vs. W3 Denver Outlaws

Archers
One notable name that is not on the Archers' injury report: Tom Schreiber. Utah's captain is making his return after missing the entire regular season after a knee injury in 2025. He's the PLL's only three-time MVP, and his return should bring a lift the field and the sidelines on Monday.
Utah was elite in goal suppression this season, finishing with 9.4 scores against per game; that mark is the second best of all time behind the 2020 Whipsnakes (8.5).
A big part of that is Brett Dobson, who has established himself as the best playoff goalie in PLL history. Among goalies with a minimum of 50 shots faced, he has the best save percentage (73.3%), well ahead of second place Brett Queener (61.6%).
Outlaws
Brennan O'Neill has always been a scorer, but this season he has become an elite playmaker as well. He has 19 assists in 2026, which is more than his previous two seasons combined (eight in 2024, nine in 2025).
Logan Wisnauskas has set a new benchmark for shooting percentage this season. His 59.5% rate tops the list among players with 25 or more shots in a season, beating out Eric Law's 55.6% from 2019.
Only five times in PLL history has a defenseman or long-stick midfielder finished with 10 or more points. Jake Piseno has now done it two seasons in a row (12 in 2025, 10 in 2026).

CJ Kirst had an incredible sophomore season in the PLL, setting records and earning accolades all along the way. In this playoff matchup, he'll square off against older brothers Colin (goalie) and Connor (midfielder).
The younger Kirst is a finalist for the Jim Brown MVP Award along with teammate Michael Sowers. This is the third time that a pair of teammates have been up for the award in the same season, joining Brennan O'Neill and Pat Kavanagh (Outlaws, 2025) as well as Asher Nolting and Marcus Holman (Cannons, 2023).
Speaking of Sowers, he's currently on a seven-game hat trick streak, which is the longest in PLL/MLL history since Paul Rabil's eight-game streak in 2016. Jesse Hubbard (11 in 2004) holds the record.
Cannons
Attackman Marcus Holman is closing in on the all-time goals record. He enters play this weekend with 387 tallies, six behind John Grant Jr.'s 393.

Sometimes, it takes a while to find the right destination in pro sports. Goaltender JC Higginbotham played for the Atlas in the 2025 Championship Series, then attended training camp for the Outlaws, followed by signing with the Archers. In 2026, he played for the Chaos in the Championship Series, before finally catching on with the Cannons and earning a spot as the starter; the Cannons are 4-0 when he's in the crease.
