Inter Milan are closing in on a deal to sign Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, sources told ESPN.
While the transfer has not yet been finalised, the Serie A champions are confident of signing Jones for a fee in the region of £30 million ($40.8m.) This comes after Inter attempted to sign the 25-year-old in January, with a number of previous bids having been rejected by the Anfield club.
Jones has just one year remaining on his current Liverpool contract and has not featured for the club in their most recent preseason friendlies against Monaco and Como.
The England international has made 228 appearances for Liverpool since making his debut under Jurgen Klopp in 2019.
He made 49 appearances in all competitions last season but was unable to cement a regular starting place in midfield.
Should he join Inter, he would become their third English signing of the summer following the arrivals of defenders John Stones and Djed Spence.
