Luka Modrić is set to face England next month after he made the decision to continue playing for the Croatia national team.
Modrić will turn 41 on Wednesday and there had been doubts over whether he would represent his national team again after Croatia were knocked out in the last 32 of the World Cup by Portugal on July 3.
However, Croatia captain Modrić has declared himself available and will be included in Slaven Bilic's squad set to be announced on Monday for the upcoming Nations League fixtures with Czech Republic [Sept. 26], England [Oct. 3] and Spain [Oct. 6].
"Of course, I am extremely happy with Luka's decision because we all know what he represents and means for Croatia on and off the field," Bilic told the official HNS (Croatian Football Federation) website.
"I am especially pleased that after 14 years we will work together again and share a strong ambition for Croatia to be quality, successful and equal to the best in the world."

Modrić, who has played 202 times for his country, recently informed Bilic and HNS president Marijan Kustic that he wished to remain available for Croatia.
Croatia face England in Rijeka on Oct. 3, but the fixtures will take place behind closed doors due to past crowd trouble involving the home team.
