England star Harry Kane is close to signing a new deal with Bayern Munich through to 2029, sources have told ESPN.
Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl said on Friday talks are going well, and a source has confirmed to ESPN that the deal is near.
"I've read that too, but haven't heard anything," Eberl said on Friday. "What I said on Tuesday still stands today: there are good talks, we're hopeful, but there's nothing to announce yet."
Kane's contract expires in June 2027 and he has long stated his preference is to extend his stay in Munich.
Speaking ahead of Bayern's next match against Leipzig on Saturday, head coach Vincent Kompany was asked for any developments on Kane's contract negotiations.
"Talks are going well, but there is still nothing to announce," he said.
Kane, 33, joined the Bundesliga champions in 2023 and has experienced remarkable success there.
He helped Bayern Munich to the 2025 and 2026 Bundesliga titles, alongside the 2026 DFB-Pokal.

On a personal level, Kane became the fastest player to reach 100 Bundesliga goals, a total he managed in just 98 matches. His overall record at Bayern stands at 154 goals in 156 matches. Kane is one of the favourites for the Ballon d'Or with the winner announced on Oct. 26.
He also equalled a record held by Peter Shilton since 1990 for the most England caps when he played for the 125th time against Czechia in the recent international break. Kane is his country's top goalscorer with 91.
Kane said about a new Bayern deal last month while on England duty: "Talks are going well. I've been quite open and honest about that. We are still in talks now and I think they are progressing in the right way. Both sides have been very relaxed about it. Everyone can see I am happy there, the way I'm performing, the way I talk off the pitch. I think it is just open and honest. I am hoping something gets done."
