Oregon quarterback Dante Moore and wide receiver Evan Stewart are out for Saturday's matchup at Illinois, according to Wednesday's Big Ten availability report.
Moore will miss his third straight game after sustaining a concussion in the Ducks' victory at USC on Sept. 26. While coach Dan Lanning has said multiple times that Moore has been at practice and has spent time throwing, he has declined to share any information about a potential timeline for the signal-caller or whether he has cleared concussion protocol.
Lanning also has not committed to a starter for Saturday's game. Dylan Raiola replaced Moore during the USC game, then was replaced by third-string quarterback Brock Thomas in the loss to UCLA. Raiola subsequently replaced Thomas, who got the start last week, in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game against Nebraska.
Raiola threw the game-winning touchdown for the Ducks against the Cornhuskers. He also spoke to the media Wednesday, not Thomas.
Stewart, who missed last week's game, is out again because of an undisclosed injury. He was arrested early Sunday morning by police in Springfield, Oregon, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants.
Lanning said in his Monday evening news conference that there was "an incident that didn't match our standard" Sunday and that it "overshadowed the success we had Saturday" but did not provide any further details. He said Oregon was still gathering details and planned to handle any punishment or repercussion internally, not publicly. He also did not specifically reference Stewart in his comments.
On Wednesday, court records showed that Oregon tight end Jamari Johnson, a preseason All-American selection, was cited for speeding in the Springfield area Sunday at 3:51 a.m. -- just over an hour before Stewart was pulled over and arrested in a separate incident. The citation lists a $440 fine for Johnson, the standard fine for a Class A violation under Oregon law.
Johnson, who was not listed on the availability report and presumably will play Saturday, has 224 yards on 17 catches and two touchdowns this season. He caught 32 passes for 510 yards and three touchdowns last season.
Stewart has 27 receptions for 352 yards and four touchdowns -- all team highs -- in five games this season.
