The New York Giants are re-signing offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor to a 3-year, $39 million deal that includes $26M guaranteed, agent David Mulugheta of Athletes First said Monday.
Eluemunor has proven to be a reliable right tackle in recent years and is coming off a season in which he played 1,088 snaps for the Giants, sixth most among right tackles. He finished with a pass block win rate of 88.8%, the second-highest mark of his career.
The Giants signed Eluemunor to a two-year, $14 million deal before the 2024 season. They originally were planning to start him at guard but quickly shifted him out to right tackle when former top-10 pick Evan Neal was dealing with an injury. It was a spot that Eluemunor never relinquished. He started 31 games at right tackle for the Giants over the past two seasons.
Eluemunor, 31, was originally a fifth-round pick out of Texas A&M in 2017 by the Baltimore Ravens. He played in 17 games with three starts for the Ravens before spending two years with the New England Patriots, where he started just eight games.
It wasn't until Eluemunor connected with offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo in Las Vegas that he became a full-time starter at right tackle. Bricillo, now with the Tennessee Titans, also coached Eluemunor with the Giants.
Overall, Eluemunor has appeared in 118 career games with 76 starts for the Ravens, Patriots, Raiders and Giants. He has played both tackle and guard spots at times during his nine professional seasons.
Also Monday, the Giants reached agreement on a one-year deal with safety Ar'Darius Washington, a source told ESPN. Washington spent the last five seasons in Baltimore under current Giants coach John Harbaugh.
