The Cleveland Browns and defensive tackle Maliek Collins have agreed to terms on a two-year, $30 million contract extension that includes $23 million guaranteed, his agent told ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Collins, 31, was in the final season of a two-year, $20 million deal he signed in March 2025.
In his first year in Cleveland, Collins posted a career-high 6.5 sacks before suffering a season-ending quad injury in December. This season, he has 3.5 sacks and has registered a sack in three straight games.
"I don't know anything about outside the building, but in the building, he's not underrated at all," Browns defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg said Thursday. "He is the man. He is a dog. He is a key cog in that engine. We go as the engine goes. He's a huge part of driving the engine, hitting the gas on that engine.
"And it's not just his play style. You can all see that. We can see that. It's who he is as a man. It's how he leads, it's how he provides input to the younger players, it's how he collaborates with the coaching staff to get the best out of the D-line, and it's the way he practices every day."
A third-round draft pick by the Cowboys in 2016, Collins has 40.5 career sacks over 11 seasons with Dallas, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Houston and San Francisco.
