TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd missed the first day of minicamp because of an injury.
Coach Bruce Arians said Floyd had a "slight hamstring tweak" and the fourth-year receiver was held out of practice, which mainly consisted of 11-on-11 work as a precaution.
"I'm not going to risk it," Arians said. "He had too great of OTAs to risk it today."
On the day Floyd watched from the sideline, undrafted free-agent linebacker Alani Fua practiced for the first time since injuring his foot in rookie minicamp. It didn't take long for the BYU product to make an impact.
Fua almost had an interception during Tuesday's practice but a teammate knocked it out of his hands. At 6-foot-5, 234 pounds, Fua is an anomaly at inside linebacker but has the quickness to make up for any potential mismatches.
Also sitting out of Tuesday's practice were running backs Stepfan Taylor and Kerwynn Williams, cornerback Darren Woodard, and linebackers Shaq Riddick and Zack Wagenmann.
