FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Julio Jones remained limited during Thursday's practice with a hamstring issue, but Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn assured that his star receiver would be just fine for Sunday's road matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.
Jones, who started experiencing hamstring soreness after the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, was limited Wednesday as well. The Falcons obviously want Jones to be as fresh as possible come game time.
In other injury news, linebackers Paul Worrilow and Justin Durant were upgraded to full participation in practice Thursday after they were limited Wednesday. Worrilow bruised his right calf in last Sunday's win over the New York Giants; Durant has dealt with a foot issue since the preseason.
Tevin Coleman (fractured rib) and Devin Hester (turf toe) were held out of practice. Neither is expected to play this week.
Nose tackle Paul Soliai (knee), defensive end Malliciah Goodman (triceps) and linebacker Brooks Reed (groin) were limited. Reed practiced for the first time since undergoing groin surgery prior to the last preseason game Sept. 3.
Also, linebacker Kroy Biermann returned to practice after being excused Wednesday to deal with a personal matter. His wife, reality television star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, tweeted about recovering from a mini-stroke.
In Dallas, Cowboys rookie defensive end Randy Gregory remained sidelined with an ankle injury, and tight end Jason Witten was limited for the second consecutive day with ankle and knee injuries. Starting guard Ronald Leary returned to practice off a groin injury but was limited, while defensive end Jeremy Mincey was added to the injury report with an illness and was limited.
