Atlanta Falcons rookie tight end Joshua Perkins appreciated getting a "shout out" from ESPN.
Shortly after Perkins scored his first career touchdown on Saturday, snatching a 26-yard pass from Matt Ryan between Carolina Panthers defenders James Bradberry and Tom Davis, the image popped up on the ESPN NFL Twitter account with the headline: Got Mossed!!

It was reference, of course, to former NFL star and current ESPN personality Randy Moss, who made such plays routine during his playing days.
"My brother actually sent it to me, and one of my old coaches sent it to me, too," Perkins said of the tweet. "My coach in high school [John Nielsen], he always called me "Moss" because that's all I did. That's what I was known for because they used to just throw the ball up to me.
"To get that recognition, it's like a dream come true because I always looked up to Randy Moss. It was nice, man."
Perkins, who came to the Falcons undrafted out of the University of Washington, is one of 13 receivers the MVP candidate Ryan has thrown a touchdown to this season. According to the Elias Sport Bureau, he's the first quarterback in NFL history to accomplish such a feat.
