Someone agrees with my NFL Nation mock draft selection for the Baltimore Ravens.
In his final 2017 mock draft, ESPN's Todd McShay also went with Western Kentucky guard Forrest Lamp at the No. 16 overall pick. Lamp is not only considered the top offensive lineman in this draft -- but the most versatile. He projects to play either guard or center in the NFL after starting at left tackle in college.
Where Lamp solidified himself as a first-round pick was his performance against Alabama. He shut down highly-rated edge rushers Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson.
"It was best tape of an offensive lineman I saw all year," McShay said in the NFL Nation mock draft show.
The Ravens need to address offensive line in the draft. Right tackle Rick Wagner signed with the Detroit Lions in free agency, and center Jeremy Zuttah was traded to the San Francisco 49ers.
While this would mark the fifth time the Ravens selected an offensive lineman in the first round, this would be the highest they've ever drafted a guard. The only guard taken by the Ravens in the first round was Ben Grubbs, who was the No. 29 overall pick in 2007.
