Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has a chance to exceed his 2015 NFL MVP season with the return of wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin.

Over or under: I’ll go over on the passing and rushing touchdowns. Newton had 35 passing touchdowns last season, and that was without No. 1 receiver Benjamin, who had nine touchdown catches in 2014. At 6-foot-5, Benjamin is a big target that Newton will utilize in the red zone. Plus, second-year receiver Devin Funchess (6-foot-4) appears ready for a breakout season. The only season Newton had less than six rushing touchdowns was 2014, when he missed two games and was limited early coming off foot surgery. He should end up with between 7 and 10. I’ll go under on the rushing yards. With Benjamin and his deepest corps of receivers yet, Newton won’t run as much as he has. He’ll go over on his passing yards for the same reason.
