IRVING, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys have seven picks in the upcoming NFL draft with selections in Rounds 1 through 5 and two picks in the seventh round.
Let’s take a look at the last five years at each draft position in which the Cowboys will be selecting to offer up some perspective on the type of player they will be getting.
Today, we offer up a look at pick No. 127, the Cowboys’ fourth rounder.
2014 – Pierre Desir, CB, Lindenwood (Cleveland Browns): Drafted out of Division II Lindenwood, the Browns saw raw potential and were pleased with how he closed the season in is five games of action.
2013 – Malliciah Goodman, DE, Clemson (Atlanta Falcons): In two years he has 25 tackles but is still in search of his first sack. He started 10 games last year.
2012 – Adrien Robinson, TE, Cincinnati (New York Giants): He was built up as the “JPP of tight ends” by general manager Jerry Reese after he was drafted but has five catches in three seasons. The Cowboys were high on him coming into the draft as well.
2011 - Roc Carmichael, DB, Virginia Tech (Houston Texans): He is now with the Arizona Cardinals, his third team after two stints with the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2013 he started two games and recorded 16 tackles with the Eagles.
2010 – E.J. Wilson, DE, North Carolina (Seattle Seahawks): He played in two games as a rookie before he was released in November. He signed with the Tamp Bay Buccaneers in 2011 but suffered a torn Achilles. The Seahawks were OK with the miss since they drafted safety Kam Chancellor in the fifth round that year.
