FRISCO, Texas -- Marquez White was one of three Dallas Cowboys draft picks not to make the 53-man roster, but he was re-signed to the practice squad once he cleared waivers.
White was a sixth-round pick out of Florida State, where he started his final 26 games and had four interceptions. He was slowed for a bit of training camp by a hamstring strain but played in three preseason games.
Seventh-round picks Joey Ivie and Jordan Carrell were also among the final cuts to the 53-man roster limit, but they were not re-signed to the practice squad.
A year ago the Cowboys called up four players from the practice squad to the active roster during the course of the season.
Here is a look at the rest of the Cowboys' practice squad, as of Sunday:
DT Richard Ash: He joined the Cowboys off the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad late last season and played in two regular-season games. He was credited with one tackle and one tackle for loss.
WR Brian Brown: He signed as an undrafted free agent in the spring and led the Cowboys in the preseason with 10 catches for 84 yards.
OL Kadeem Edwards: He suffered an injury in the final week of camp, but he has position flexibility by playing tackle and guard. He joined the Cowboys' practice squad last season.
TE Blake Jarwin: He faced a stacked deck in terms of making the 53-man roster but finished with four catches for 31 yards in the preseason. He had interest from other teams to join practice squads but opted to remain with the Cowboys.
WR Lance Lenoir: With Ryan Switzer not playing in the preseason, he handled most of the return duties. He also caught a 44-yard touchdown pass from Cooper Rush
DT Lewis Neal: He is undersized at 6-0, 280 pounds, but he plays fast and hard. He could earn an early-season promotion if the defensive line struggles.
S Jameill Showers: This will be his third straight year on the practice squad and second as a safety. He made the practice squad in 2015 as a quarterback before moving to the defensive side of the ball last year.
OT Dan Skipper: The tallest tackle in the league at 6-10 is a fighter, which endeared him to the coaches. He played guard as well.
G Nate Theaker: It's somewhat surprising the Cowboys kept three offensive linemen on the practice squad, but Theaker was able to impress at different moments over the summer in making the transition from Wayne State.
