The Detroit Lions made a back-of-the-roster move Wednesday morning, re-signing undrafted free agent running back Rasheed Williams and cutting wide receiver Erik Lora.
Williams rushed 197 times for 1,017 yards with 10 touchdowns his senior season at Alfred (New York) State. He initially signed with the Lions after the draft, went through rookie minicamp and was then cut. The team chose to bring him back this week, though.
With Joique Bell still recovering from offseason surgery, there could be snaps available for Williams to show what he can do. Lora, meanwhile, was part of a glut of wide receivers who are trying to make the roster beyond Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate.
