GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Now that we know how many selections the Green Bay Packers will have in the April 30-May 2 NFL draft and exactly where those picks fall in each round, we can get a better idea what kind of players general manager Ted Thompson might be able to land.
With that in mind, let’s look at the recent players selected at the Packers’ draft position in each round.
We’ve looked at players selected at No. 30 overall, No. 62 overall, No. 94 overall, No. 129 overall and No. 166 overall -- where the Packers will pick in the first five rounds.
Now, let’s move to the sixth round, where the Packers have three picks -- Nos. 206, 210 and 213. Here’s a look at the players selected in those spots the past five years:
No. 206
2014 -- Jemea Thomas, CB, Georgia Tech (New England Patriots): Did not make the Patriots' roster at the end of training camp and was briefly with the Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Rams before landing with the Titans in December. 2012 -- LaVon Brazill, WR, Ohio (Indianapolis Colts): Caught 23 passes for 347 yards and three touchdowns combined in the first two seasons but was suspended twice for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, most recently last summer, when he was suspended for a year.
