The show that introduced Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien to so many casual fans won a few awards last night.
HBO's "Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Houston Texans" won two Sports Emmy Awards, for outstanding serialized sports documentary and outstanding post-produced audio/sound. One of the show's biggest stars helped accept the award.

Charles James' quest to make the team during last year's training camp captivated viewers and fans. His story, his socks and his spirit resonated.
He wasn't the only "Hard Knocks" star. Although the show did emphasize the team's stars, such as J.J. Watt and Vince Wilfork, and highlight the battle for the starting quarterback position, several role players became well-known characters. Receiver EZ Nwachukwu shined. Viewers got to know running back Chris Polk's story.
And they got to see O'Brien in all his foul-mouthed glory.
O'Brien has since made two things clear: 1. He generally liked the people who worked on the show. 2. He never wants to be part of it again.
This year's show will feature the Los Angeles Rams in their first year back in California.
