ST. LOUIS -- The Kansas City Chiefs conclude the preseason at 8 p.m. ET Thursday vs. the St. Louis Rams at the Edward Jones Dome. Here are a couple of things to watch for during the game:
Why watch: The Chiefs planned for quarterback Chase Daniel to play the first half with Aaron Murray getting the second half. Both have played well in the preseason with passer ratings of more than 100. Starter Alex Smith is not scheduled to play. Another player who is scheduled to play a lot and is having a big preseason is unheralded wide receiver Fred Williams. He leads the Chiefs with 13 catches for 159 yards and three touchdowns.
Did you know: The Chiefs and Rams compete for the Governor’s Cup each time they meet. The Chiefs are in possession of the trophy after last year's 34-7 victory in the regular season. The Chiefs are 6-0 in the regular season against the Rams since the move to St. Louis. But the Rams have won the last three preseason meetings, the most recent being in 2012.
