SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Chargers placed offensive lineman Ryan Miller on the reserve, non-football injury list Thursday due to a concussion, ending his season.
Miller, 25, suffered the concussion while taking the practice field, slipping and hitting his head during wet conditions Wednesday.
Added to the practice squad by the Chargers after a tryout during the bye week Nov. 12, Miller was signed to the active roster Nov. 22 and was active for San Diego's game against St. Louis.
Miller suffered a groin injury the following week during practice and was not active for San Diego's game last week against Baltimore. The University of Colorado product has a history of concussions.
The Chargers signed offensive lineman Jeff Baca (6-3, 302) off the team's practice squad to the active roster.
Replacing Baca on the practice squad for San Diego is offensive lineman Bryce Quigley, a rookie free agent from San Diego State. Quigley, 6-4, 302, was previously signed by the Detroit Lions and released during training camp.
