The Minnesota Vikings spent their offseason upgrading the weapons around quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, and they've consistently declared how pleased they are with their third-year quarterback. If the Vikings are going to make a run in the NFC, they'll likely be looking for bigger numbers from Bridgewater in 2016.
ESPN fantasy projections: 3,442 yards, 19 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 215 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns.
Over or under: I expect Bridgewater will go slightly over on the yards, assuming his per-pass average is a little higher than the 7.2 yards per attempt he averaged last year (and he's projected to average again by ESPN's fantasy staff). Bridgewater has looked more confident throwing downfield in training camp, and his connection with Stefon Diggs could create more opportunities for plays after the catch. Similarly, I expect he'll throw a couple more touchdown passes than the fantasy projections -- say, 21 or 22 -- as he develops a rapport with his two best potential red zone targets (rookie Laquon Treadwell and tight end Kyle Rudolph). The interceptions sound about right; Bridgewater threw nine last year, and he might wind up with a couple more turnovers as he tries to take on a slightly larger load this year.
