MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- A few thoughts on the Miami Dolphins' 27-24 loss Sunday to the Green Bay Packers.
What it means: The Dolphins were close to beating a hot Packers team (4-2) but blew a seven-point, fourth-quarter lead to fall to 2-3. Green Bay scored 10 straight points in the final four minutes to win the game. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Quarless with three seconds left on the clock. This would have been a signature win for Miami, which hasn’t won two games in a row all season. But mistakes late cost the inconsistent Dolphins.
Stock Watch: Miami linebacker Koa Misi and safety Reshad Jones returned from injury and suspension, respectively, to be productive defenders. Misi and Jones each recorded nine tackles to lead the Dolphins.
Game ball: Dolphins rookie receiver Jarvis Landry led Miami with six receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown on offense. Landry also had 91 return yards, which included a 54-yard kickoff return to set up Miami's first field goal. He also recorded a tackle on special teams. The second-round pick was all over the field.
What’s next: The run of NFC North opponents continues, as Miami travels to face the Chicago Bears in Week 7. The Dolphins will play five of their next seven games on the road. Miami is 1-1 on the road this season.
