PHILADELPHIA -- If the New York Giants have any issues with Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Josh Huff, they won’t have any trouble finding him Monday night.
With Eagles rookie Nelson Agholor listed as "out" with an ankle injury, Huff figures to get more playing time. That means he will line up across from some players he critiqued earlier in the week.
Former Eagles cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is one of the players Huff analyzed, according to NJ.com.
"If he is locked in once he gets going, once the game starts, he is pretty much one of the better corners in the league," Huff said. "But he takes some plays off, and when he takes some of those plays off, I'm going to try to bring it to him and let him know it's going to be a long day for him."
The Giants drafted a safety that many analysts thought might interest the Eagles. Alabama’s Landon Collins is starting for the Giants.
"I know they have a rookie in the back end at safety," Huff said. "He is a down-in-the-box guy. Not a real good cover guy with man. But he can come down and hit, tackle very well. They all, at some times, get lost in coverage, I would say. But they are very fundamentally strong."
In four games this season, Huff has eight receptions for 117 yards. He caught a 41-yard touchdown pass from Sam Bradford last Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
"I have respect for all the opponents we go up against," Huff said Friday. "But everybody has their weakness. I mean, I have weaknesses. I’m pretty sure they can see that. I’m working on my weaknesses and I’m pretty sure they’re working on their weaknesses."
Huff said he wasn’t worried about firing up the Giants with his comments.
"It’s football," he said. "I don’t want to get to that point. I respect my opponents. I want them to respect me. If I see weaknesses, I’m going to point them out. I’m sure they’re going to do the same with me."
Agholor is one of four Eagles expected to miss Monday’s game with injuries. Linebackers Kiko Alonso (knee) and Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) and defensive end Brandon Bair (groin) were all listed as "out" on Saturday’s injury report.
