Every weekday morning, we'll round up local and national Seattle Seahawks-related links.
During a 710 ESPN Seattle interview, John Clayton talked about the Seahawks' depth at cornerback and suggested trading one of their current players for a late-round pick could be possible at some point:
“Injuries are going to happen,” Clayton said. “...What you’re looking at is how guys fit in a system. For example, it’s not going to be a Cover-2 team coming over and asking for cornerbacks from Seattle but a Cover-1 team, a good man-to-man team, they might be willing to do it.”
Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times takes a look at the Seahawks' fullback situation:
Coach Pete Carroll, though, provided some clarity to what is going on at fullback when asked after last week’s OTA that was open to the media.
Specifically, Carroll said that second-year player Brandon Cottom, listed as a tight end, is now again primarily a fullback, the position he played when he was with the team through training camp last season.
NFL.com's Bucky Brooks looks at the 10 scariest position groups in the NFL. He has Seahawks safeties at No. 4:
These core members of the "Legion of Boom" discourage opponents from working the middle of the field with their hard-hitting ways and superb ball skills. Earl Thomas is a playmaking center fielder with outstanding instincts, awareness and anticipation. He scares quarterbacks with his ability to jump routes and snag interceptions on tips or overthrows in his area. Kam Chancellor is the designated enforcer with a knack for delivering teeth-rattling shots to runners in the hole and receivers venturing between the hashes.
