A strong second half in 2015 led to a career season for Russell Wilson, earning the Seattle Seahawks' quarterback MVP consideration. What should be expected of him this season?
ESPN Fantasy Projection: 3,686 passing yards, 29.2 TDs, 10.1 INTs; 494.7 rushing yards, 2.4 rushing TDs.
Over or under: Take the over. Wilson returns his top four receivers from last season and is only 27 years old. The arrow is clearly pointing up. Only three quarterbacks completed at least 65 percent of their passes and averaged at least 8.0 yards per attempt last season: Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, and Andy Dalton. Wilson threw for 4,024 yards in 2015 and is a good bet to top that mark this season. Expect Wilson to get close to his 34 passing touchdowns from a year ago. The only thing standing in the way of a prolific Seahawks passing game is a potentially leaky offensive line. But Wilson has produced in the past when the protection hasn't held up, and he's as durable as they come, having not missed a game or practice in four NFL seasons.
Wilson should go above the projected rushing numbers as well. He's averaged 607.5 rushing yards per season in his career. The Seahawks still use plenty of zone-read in their offense. Wilson can gain yards that way in addition to his usual scrambles.
