The Washington Redskins made yet another move on Saturday as their injuries continue to mount. They placed cornerback Chase Minnifield on injured reserve, less than a week after he left the loss at Indianapolis with a concussion.
They signed cornerback Kenny Okoro to take Minnifield's roster spot. Earlier in the day the Redskins had promoted linebacker Gabe Miller off their practice squad and waived receiver Aldrick Robinson.
Okoro played collegiately at Wake Forest from 2008-12, and played for San Jose in the Arena Football League earlier this year. The Redskins had signed him to the practice squad this week. Okoro played for the same high school as Redskins cornerback David Amerson, though the latter is three years younger.
The Redskins are thin at cornerback with Amerson and fellow starter Bashaud Breeland and first-year Greg Ducre. Cornerback E.J. Biggers is questionable with a concussion. Sunday's opponent, St. Louis, does not have a potent downfield attack, but the Rams do have weapons in the pass game that could make life difficult for Washington.
