The Washington Redskins added a familiar name Monday afternoon -- to them at least.
The team signed running back Michael Hill, who worked out for them on at least two occasions last season and eventually was signed to their practice squad on Dec. 9. However, the Indianapolis Colts signed him after the season only to release him on March 12.
Hill went undrafted out of Missouri Western State in 2013 and has been with five different organizations: Washington, Green Bay, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis and San Diego. He has been on the practice squad with the Redskins, Colts and Packers.
He has appeared in eight games, two with Green Bay and six with Tampa Bay. All of his nine carries for 23 yards came with the Buccaneers in 2013. The 5-foot-10, 209-pound Hill becomes the fourth running back on Washington’s roster, joining Alfred Morris, Silas Redd and Chris Thompson (who is an exclusive rights free agent).
