OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Running back Trent Richardson returned to Baltimore Ravens' organized team activities on Tuesday.
Richardson missed the first week of Ravens' offseason practices with a hamstring injury, which led to coach John Harbaugh saying he needs more work to become "a world-class conditioned athlete." In Tuesday's practice, Richardson showed no effects of the injury in making cuts and sprinting upfield.
He is competing in a crowded Baltimore backfield that includes Justin Forsett, Buck Allen, Lorenzo Taliaferro, Kenneth Dixon and Terrance West.
There were 12 players not participating in the voluntary OTA: quarterback Joe Flacco (knee); linebacker Terrell Suggs (Achilles) and Elvis Dumervil; wide receivers Steve Smith (Achilles), Michael Campanaro (calf); offensive tackle Eugene Monroe (shoulder),;guard Marshal Yanda; cornerbacks Jimmy Smith (foot), Kyle Arrington and Jumal Rolle (Achilles); defensive end Bronson Kaufusi (back); and defensive tackle Michael Pierce.
