CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Carolina Panthers reduced their roster by eight players as they move to be at 75 players by Tuesday.
There were no surprises, although wide receiver Avius Capers left a touching message on Twitter.

Capers, if you remember, first caught the attention of the Carolina staff because he rode a bicycle to tryouts at Bank of America Stadium.
The roster now stands at 82, not counting wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin (ACL) set to be placed on injured reserve. Here are Sunday’s moves:
